RHN Proxy

Rutgers no longer keeps a Red Hat Network (RHN) Proxy server on campus. If your machines are currently configured to use the RHN Proxy server, you will need to reconfigure your systems to point back to Red Hat's servers. Please see the links below for instructions.

The discontinuation of the Proxy server is in no way meant to imply that the University or the Office of Information Technology (OIT) is taking any sort of position on the use of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). The only position OIT will take is to recommend the use of a distribution that is well maintained and supported with security updates. RHEL certainly meets that criteria.
